Tom meggle, founder & director

Tom was born in Munich and after his studies at European Business School spent his first 10 professional years in the wines & spirits industry targeting the German luxury hospitality and restaurant business. In 1997 he joined his father in the family dairy business, Meggle AG, based in Bavaria, Germany. After 5 years working alongside his father and the CEO he started his luxury retail career at Cartier working for more than seven years as General Manager for Northern Europe, successfully opening two strategic locations in Eastern Europe (Prague and Sofia) and developing the business in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In 2008, he joined the LVMH Group as General Manager of Louis Vuitton Germany and, in March 2011, moved to London in the role of Managing Director of Louis Vuitton UK, Ireland and South Africa. During the following 7 years Louis Vuitton pioneered in Travel Retail opening the 2 first stores in Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5 as well as leading digital pilot projects for the brand and developing the omni-channel experience for the clients with Click&Collect and Endless Aile projects. Tom has also been a member of the Bond Street Development Group since 2013 and in 2017, was invited to join the Board of Directors of the New West End Company. He successfully developed Louis Vuitton's business and teams until July 2018 to then step down and launch his own venture, Momentom 8 Ltd, a hybrid business consultancy for innovative branding and ethical luxury.

Tom has been Chair of the Luxury Club at the French Chamber of Great Britain since 2017 and also sits on the Ventures Board of the Whitechapel Gallery.

Tom lives in London with his French wife and has 4 children.
